Wooden decks in the past meant numerous maintenance issues and cleaning hassles. Fortunately, all those days are long gone. With newer treated woods available, home owners need never have to worry about a rotting deck. These woods are specially processed to make them more durable. Do remember to clean your wood deck of moss and algae regularly. When the deck has adjusted itself to the outdoor environment, make sure you increase its life span by sealing it. This involves applying a liquid sealant liquid to all exposed surfaces.

We would like to add a small deck to the front of our house to give us more outside living space. The deck would be flush with the existing front porch/stoop. One to two steps high, and 21ft long tapering to 13ft. and 8ft. deep. We would like a rail and maybe some built in benches on part of it. Low cost lumber and treated to survive the elements. |
I need a new composite or PVC deck. The old deck has been removed. New ledger board already installed. Size of new deck is approx. 22' x 12'. It will be 4' to 7' above grade; permit required. Do you handle the permit process? Thanks. |
